I'm looking at doing a cost effective makeover on our kitchen and have been contemplating one of the door replacement outfits to give it a facelift, also perhaps changing work tops and putting new appliances in. Could anyone who has gone this route offer any recommendations on companies who are good at this sort of thing? Based in Wiltshire so will be looking at companies in the south west ideally.

There's a company in Bath that do it. Seen the shop and the van out and about - Dream Doors.

No idea if they are any good, though.

Dream Doors will do the job, but are very pricey .

have you thought about painting the units and maybe replacing the handles?

My parents used Granite Transformation, cost about £3k in a medium kithen to fit a granite veneer to the worktops, literally looks as good as new, plus all doors replaced with new ones.
Looks like a new kitchen
I used diykitchens.co.uk and did the doors myself, £1k for a larger kitchen, totally transforms the space

Yep but cupboard style is a bit too dated for that I think.

Thanks. Just had a look at granite transformations, they have some nice looking kitchens. How easy/ difficult is it to fit doors yourself? I get the impression it must be a bit fiddly to do it right....

All the normal DIY stores - B&Q etc... - sells doors and handles separately.

I am in the process of starting a branch of Granite Transformations in Perth, we (and other branches) would quote you for doors including fitting, do you need to replace end panels as well as the doors? This is obviously a bit more complex and time consuming.
We have the doors made to measure so having unusual sizes of doors would not be a problem.

If you had all the doors etc, are you planning to undertake the work yourself?
