It's definitely toppy, but materials alone would be 150-200 labour - two persons... 150 (guessed day rate)x2... 300 so 500 would seem more reasonable - of course it depends on accesibility etc..

DIY?

If someone else is fitting they're probably factoring in an amount of time where they scratch their head and try to work out how to fit, if they haven't fitted EPDM before.

Having looked at EPDM mentioned above I just found this option for sheds.

https://www.rubber4roofs.co.uk/shop/epdm-shed-rubb...

Not that expensive and the install looks just as easy as felt.

Hmmm...scratchchin

Go for it.
I'd be interested in knowing how you get on. A thread perhaps?

I keep considering doing my garage roof and this is the sort of stuff I'd like to use.

Well its gonna cost me 350 to do my roof vs about 150 in normal felt. But at least I know that this will not leak, and from the videos it looks fairly easy to install.

Just make sure the tacks aren't too long otherwise the inside will be like a bed of nails.
Don't ask how I know this...............

Used to erect sheds for a living many years ago, mass overkill in here.Dont need to bitumen or adhesive.
1000 quid for a large shed re-roof is ridiculous, could refelt that in about an hour.

Im guessing there is a difference between what it would cost you to do and what someone charges who does it for a living.

It looks like I can do my garage roof with this stuff for £500.
I'm very tempted.

Yep as I posted above - easy to install and should be more robust and last longer than felt
