Morning, Mrs M wants some GU9 LED bulbs that match the previous 25w halogen bulbs.

GU10 LED bulbs seem to match their Halogen counterparts in terms of brightness and colour, but are GU9's lagging behind?

If they aren't, please suggest the brightest bad ass GU9 LEDS the world has to offer smile

I've tried a few of the "corn light" ones, and they've all been cheap and crap, often burning out.
I've just fitted a few of the "shine hai" ones from amazon, which are much smaller, neater, and very bright (40w equiv). Good reviews but I've not had them long enough to comment really, I'm happy with them so far. There is a slight flicker with them though, you don't really notice it unless you wave your arm about quickly, but it is there.

We've not got any GU9 bulbs, but we've got various other Philips LED bulbs and they've all been fantastic. I don't see any reason why their GU9 LED bulbs should be any different.

I've tried quite a few and the colour has always been too cool, even when noted as 2700K.

Finding good ones that are dimmable (the Philips aren't) is proving tricky (and that's before you add in the ball ache of minimum draw on dimmers). Any possible saving on power totally outweighed by the wasted experimenting smile (Common with LED lighting IME).

If you want to try the ones I have here, drop me your address by PM and I'll post them over.
