Mice and mouse traps?

Yes, it's mouse season again...

OP, after a few different attempts, we've had no mouse issues since a) we went around blocking the obvious inlets we could and b) got thepoison baited traps which seems to kill them stone dead (have found a few still inside the trap having eaten the bait. Never noticed any smell.

Over the last 4 years we've found the odd dead one under the sofa, but on the whole, this is much preferable to live humane traps (which didn't seem to get rid of them, and when you caught one, you had to deal with it - usually in a bucket of water, which got a bit "tiresome" after the first few).

The little nippers were ok, but we also had the odd mouse which would have been caught by one leg and is left scrabbling around for you to come and finish it off.
