Sorry to hijack an old thread

Will green gripfill bond through lining paper or do I need to remove lining paper before we start panelling?

Remove, otherwise your only sticking to the lining paper.

For several years now we've been using foam for skirtings and architraves etc. Sticks better than anything else and works on both mdf and real wood skirting. Apply liberally, wedge skirting in place for an hour with either timber screwed to floor or plasterboard props wedged to another wall. Works a treat

We removed it. It was actually fairly straightforward with a sponge, warm water and fabric conditioner.

Same here. I have one room where we used pinkgrip before giving up and using foam for the rest. The only areas to fail were in the pink grip room.
