Plodding on with our house refurbishment and now at the stage of replacing the crappy standard central heating radiators in out lounge. Bisque do some attractive rads' but the price tags are not so attractive. Looking for modern look finished in British racing green or similar? Advise / leads appreciated.

Big place, large range -> http://www.designerradiatorsdirect.co.uk/

Great for hand made -> http://stores.ebay.co.uk/specialized-radiators?_tr...
MOR cost wise but interesting none the less -> http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Contemporary.htm
Probably the best (stone veneers in particular are very impressive) -> http://www.eskimodesign.co.uk/

The link to the Specialized Radiators guy is worth looking at if you're prepared to step-away from the standard finishes. His distressed copper finishes are very good and he's way cheaper than Bisque Arteplano for example.

Problem is you'll also need designer radiator valves wink and they're not budget either

Thanks guys, I'm bound to find whatever it is that I'm after. The bisque lattismo are great but I just can't get past the price tag.

I have a load of the raw metal finish column radiators by Revive in both my flat and my house. They are great - but do be aware that this sort of radiator is not as capable of high output as some "normal" panel rads, so make sure you find out what your current rads output in BTU and buy the equivalent, rather than thinking that similar sizes will work.

Not cheap, but they look superb, especially over a stripped brick wall.

Google pic, not one of mine.

Good tip, thanks. Yup those radiators do look good and I can see how well they would work against a bare brick wall, very industrial chic.

Buy off Ebay.

If you must have an unusual colour then get them painted / powder coated to the colour you want.

Pop down to see Jo at Specialized, right by Stansted airport. He has containers full of very good rads and that's not including his copper etched or linished own items.

He gets them painted whatever colour you like and supplies brackets and valves too.

We have a house full of his stuff, the linished ones look like art.
