So at the age of 26 having just come out of a 7 year relationship and shared house I'm going a bit mad and have decided that this is perfectly justifiable in my situation.

Fortunately I've pulled an absolute blinder and am moving in to a large top floor shared flat in Clifton (Bristol), and my room will be 6m x 5m, so there's plenty of space for it.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to where to purchase such a thing? Obviously they're a bit pricey but I don't want to be shelling out 2k for one. Current top of the pile is this one on clearance:

Any other recommended retailers? Tried wayfair but nothing that great.

Thanks

ETA: Not sure if this would be better in home cinema / hi-fi forum. Apologies mods if so / please move as appropriate.

Just make sure you can get the thing up the stairs / lift otherwise you're screwed

Not too concerned about that as the stairway is fairly wide and the ceiling is very high.

Not entirely clear on the situation (shared living room i presume?) but personally id keep the telly out of the bedroom, keep the place where you sleep calm and simple, and dont confuse its purpose.

If you want/need your own telly because the living room one isnt available enough or whatever, then fair play.

No way could I cope without a TV in the bedroom.

laugh Very good!

Sure you aren't better off spending £1k on a better bed, and £1k on a better TV? You would get very good quality for them separately, but combined & both end up compromised!

laugh when it's fully finished I'll probably post a picture up in there of the room as it will be delightfully council.

The TV isn't actually included but it can hold up to 42" as long as it's less than 55mm deep.

I'm not sure I see the attraction with having the TV so close to you...

Far better hung on the wall or on top of a chest rather than something like that!

I think the attraction of the TV being so close might lie with POV gentleman's art films.

don't know why the OP doesn't buy one of those VR headsets and sit on his hands for a bit, prior to............
