We are putting in a new kitchen and want to get the best possible price for our appliances. Do any of you have any recommendations for Miele appliance suppliers? We are based in Cheshire. Thanks!

Can't for the life of me remember where we got our last lot from - one of those graded appliance places in somewhere like Burnley, or Blackburn, or Barnsley.

Personally I've always tried to find graded appliances. There's either nothing at all wrong with them or there may be some inconsequential scratch that may not even be visible when installed.

I suspect we bought ours from the same place - Bolton. The "Graded" items were advertised on Ebay, but they had a shop, so we just went to the shop to pick what we wanted and negotiated a decent price. It was somewhere near the town centre in a warehouse.

Every white good we have in the house is graded. Why care if there's a scratch on the side of an inbuilt oven, if it still comes with the manufacturers warranty.

Miele are no longer the quality product they once were, especially considering the price.

I needed 8 Miele appliances for my new kitchen and spent hours researching the web for the best prices. I played the two best online providers against each other until I was convinced I had the best price. When the kitchen company asked me about appliances I was smugly told them that they were wasting their time and I had the best possible deal already so best just to stick to costs on units etc

The kitchen company suggested I humour them and just see what price they could do, so I agreed and looked forward to them embarrassing themselves... They blew the prices I had found out of the water and I saved a couple of grand by going with them. Apparently Miele offer high end kitchen suppliers the best deals - that's what they said anyway. Certainly was true from my experience which was almost 3 years ago. This was LWK Kitchens who specialise in German kitchens (I don't work for them and apologies if this kind of endorsement is against any rules) Here's my kitchen:

Paul Davies may be the appliance supplier in Bolton. It's near the Porsche dealer who usually have a 918 in the showroom if you fancy a look.

One actually in Cheshire:
I'm going back some years but we used http://www.codelectrical.co.uk/ for ours. As our kitchen is fully integrated we were able to use various makes of appliances based on their features and they did a package price.
