Just checked the bills for our 1930s house and it is only using £11 of gas per month!?! This is for heating the house and water and even cooker, plus a gas fire that is on every evening for the dog. Don't understand how it is that cheap.

Electricity is £200 per month which sounds about right given a couple of electric heaters in the annex and lots of lights and electronics.
Family of 4 1950's house is say on average we spend £100 pcm which would be £70electric £30gas.
Electric oven and hob. Heating is left on 18-20degrees 24/7/365 hot water is twice a day total 4hrs.

We use a tumble dryer all the time in the winter, with kids washing machine is on daily min, dishwasher min daily.
Our water use is way below a family of 4 household according to Thames Water but we have young kids so will likely increase over time.
