Slab or two of beer to take away, depending how many there are, or a bottle of something each will be appreciated, a nice gesture but no need to go over the top.

My lads got a bottle of port each and sticky toffee pudding, was much appreciated.

Its as much about how you do it as to what you do.

A few beer sounds like a good idea. A small gesture that I'm sure will be gratefully appreciated.

Bacon sarnies on the last day and a few crates of lager would be in order.

I would go in with guns blazing kind of 'right! you lot over here, who has left all this' sort of nonsense and uncover a few cases of beers and some bacon butties etc. Guess it depends on the characters involved

Nothing - assuming they originally told you that they would have the job completed by October

I would think beer to take home and food laid on one day would be appreciated.

You're otherwise going to get into the big question of how much cash to give. Much more difficult to decide on.
