Scratch on glass oven top

Our oven has a black glass top and it has a scratch on it. I'd like to paint it in so it's less noticeable. Do you think a standard car paint rattle aerosol would do the job? First world problems, eh!

If its glass I think I'd try polishing it out first. Maybe one of those kits for removing wiper scratches from car windows?
