Anyone had any success with this since it was setup in April?

I've just signed up but given the average price of plots around here (Surrey), I don't hold out much hope.

Most LPA's haven't got very far with it, as yet.

It's looking like many will meet the demand by allocating serviced plots on larger developments as a kind of Planning Obligation upon the 'parent' developer when they grant the consent, which won't make it particularly attractive, anyway - the plots will be 'developer-sized' and located wherever the developers see fit (ie. not in prime locations) within larger developments. And no doubt they'll load the price by cooking the books a bit with shared infrastructure costs, so they won't be cheap, either.

But I know of at least one LPA who is quite well ahead of the game and is looking at delivery by means of 'exceptions' sites: eg. small sites on the edge of villages, perhaps extending the settlement boundary slightly, that are too small for inclusion in the main housing delivery, but which can be allocated specifically for self-builds. This is more promising, but we're still at the 'wait and see' stage at the moment, as to how it will all pan out.
