Don't want this thread to degrade into makita/dewalt/Milwaukee/Bosch etc so I'll keep it simple.

Can anyone see a difference, other than battery size, between DLX2020SYW and DLX2020SW.

Is it just an offer on at screwfix? Or is there a reason the one with smaller batteries is more expensive? Both drills and both drivers seem to have the same model numbers, case and charger.

They are identical except for batteries. I've no idea why the smaller capacity setup is more expensive.

Usually so they can spectacularly reduce the price later in the "sale"

Less people buy the lower rated battery set, makes them more expensive to buy from makita...

Who wants 1.5amp packs when you can have 3 amps?
