I would like external lights on the front of the house to come on via a detector but, as it is a small driveway, I want to the sensor to be flexible in that the range can be adjusted easily

A lot of house I go past here on the public pavement and the light turns on, whereas I only want it to come on if they are on the property itself. Being a terrace would also like it to be just on my property rather than neighbours triggering it too.

Any recommendations?

I've used Timeguard ones like these on both my properties.

They have a full 180 degrees turn as well as up/down, as well as light/dark adjustment so they're pretty much as adjustable as you can get. They're also fairly minimal in size compared to some.

I can take some pics if needed.

The ones I've used in the past have plastic clip in pieces which can cover part of the sensor unit to prevent unwanted activation. Never bothered with them as I need full coverage and nobody is that close to set it off unless they are on the property. Something like this so you can adjust up/down as well as left/right, although this one is only up to 200w so specifically for LED floodlights, although with a 5 year guarantee on the lights they are a cost effective investment:

I've just ordered 2 lights with integral PIR's (as that whats there now and as I'm replacing them didnt want to create work for myself) for our neighbour as 1 isnt working at all and the other just keeps coming on when it feels like it but doent seem to work when she wants it to.

I'm in a similar situation and looking for PIRs just now as well, also I'm keen on aesthetics and some look pretty ugly!
