Sorry for not replying to messages, will catch up shortly.

My wife's car got totalled Sunday after a car pulled out across her on the A337 towards Lyndhurst.

Prick changed his story too, but thankfully Police interviewed him and insurance getting that.

Anyway so I'll look at and reply for quotes etc.

Ironically had a text from Kinetico after I said no for 50% less.

Mmmm don't like that!

Our tenant has fitted some sort of small device into the main incoming water line, not much bigger than a decent cigar. All it says on the outside is 'Scale Inhibitor' and 'Lifetime guarantee'. No makers name that I can see.

So, all you people spending a fortune have been ripped off when this little device can do the job so simply... coffee

I've actually had an inhibitor before that worked really well with very hard water. I'd always poo poo'd then before I had one.

No substitute for a softener though.

I was put off the kinetic/harveys/twintec as didn't like the way they operated I.e. marketing and salesman apointments over easy to find and transparent information.

Went with the Monarch midi due to the higher flow, but otherwise would have gone with a refurbished mechanical too.

I had a Kinetico softener from 2003 that we took to the next house in 2005, then when we moved in 2007 we got another one that we kept until 2011.

A great product - even if the salesperson may be a bit off-putting!
