Summer weather?!

Anyone else starting to suffer with mid-winter blues despite it being nearly February or are you embracing it and making the most of it?

I'm almost certain this appalling weather wasn't in the brochure!! Ha.

Here in Dunners we have had 30.8 degrees today. I thought it was going to be good today because the kidz are back to school.

OK, it's the first hot day of the year, and it won't last more than a couple more hours more, but Saturday was warm, Sunday was hot before the southerly ripped through, and even yesterday was ok......

Agreed, we just haven't had a warm settled period at all this "summer", just brief interludes of meh in between windy cold showers.

Baking here, too hot to work, grass is burnt dry and I'm sitting under a ceiling fan to cool down

After 8 years in Hawke's Bay I'm now in Palmerston North and the summer weather has been shocking (no surprise really for Palmy), it's been constantly windy and intermittent sunshine. It's like being back in the UK.
Only moved here for family reasons but I'd rather be back in Hawke's Bay. Consistent 30' sunny days which I had taken for granted thinking that all Kiwi summers were like that.

Bah.

If it's like this next year I can see a relocation on the cards...
