Trial fit of the MX5 seat. They could have been made for the car. This is going to be one of the easier jobs and so much more comfortable than the originals.

I don't know what year but they are early ones. Mk1 I think. I'm going to have a second pair surplus to requirements in a couple of months if anyone is interested.

The plan is the Tasmin, so long as I've found all the leaks by then laugh

We might be different sizes but I did that as a test (the seats look identical - are the blue?), and after a year or two, went back to the originals. My shoulder rubbed on the back and I never got comfortable. They didn't really add much support. However, they dropped right in.

One of the reasons I tried it was the headrest speakers which worked really well. Then I found the speakers fit in the original seat's headrests. Somewhere there is a thread with the upgraded speaker info. Grady

They are black, but there is a blue tinge which shows up in the sunlight. Everyone is different and for me the backs on the originals are far too low, the headrest is between my shoulder blades and makes my upper back and shoulders ache. The "head rest" is perfectly positioned to cause a serious backlash injury. By contrast, the MX5 seats fit where they should and the headrest is where it should be.

I had black leather Nissan SX seats in my old 280i...They were comfy....Still think the wedge seats are more so....smile
