Ill throw this in:

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

A house with literally two rooms, no parking, no back garden, needs a lot of doing, 120 year old house bills and its £160k on the south coast...
Its in a nice area - but youd really have to be brave...

That one in Milton Keynes looks to have about 8 people living in it, its like the modern equivalent of a doss house.

If you have a look at the street view for that property it gives you a good insight into what kind of person stays there.

If it went to best & final offers, then buyers will often offer an odd number rather than risk another buyer offering the same amount.
Did they really think someone possibly put a bid in of £713,822.46p?

That would appeal to a single person, who could only otherwise afford a flat, but prefers freehold a little outside space.

When I was 20, living in bedsit land, it'd be the sort of thing I'd have loved.

No Marilyn in the bathroom; I'm out. Fair play to these people, they make their homes the way they want them. People on pH are so quick to slate mcmansions with super yacht interiors, props to the folk who do what they want hehe

It's around the cooker, maybe it's the new en vogue way of browning your meat.

The address, Netherfield, Milton Keynes, is enough to tell you what kind of person lives there.

Perhaps appropriate that the house only seems to have a rear entrance.
