Yup, he's doing everything a decent neighbour should do, without going overboard and paying for stuff that isn't his responsibility. It's exactly what I'd do in those circumstances.The tree was too far away for me to notice any conkers.
The tree bloke has been and cut a load of it up - they dont seem the most professional outfit. He told me it was Oak, but im not sure now and think it probably is horse chestnut. He has left me a load of logs, but from experience horse chestnut is crap for burning!

Horse Chestnut is ok ish (got a load on my drive now) Sweet Chestnut is ste.
