Good point about the future - I don't think the white/grey look is dated yet, but could do at some point like the brown you mention. Whereas white windows have been around longer than any of the upvc colours and it still doesn't look dated.

Didn't think choosing a window colour would be so difficult!

I think the right shade on the right frame and right house looks fine, this one's wood so'll need repainting regularly, if it looks wrong, it can be changed easily.

Personally I'd say that would look better with a darker grey or even a green (sage or a more grey/green). But that's subjective of course.

The advice on uPVC is good. Wood windows are much easier to colour change.
