Concealed sliding door/wall
Discussion
I want to have a floor to ceiling sliding door which will cover the entrance to the utility room, because you face it as soon as you walk into the flat. Someone suggested this as an alternative to a door, since I could disguise it by hanging some art on it, and just slide it across as needed. I'm loving this idea to be honest.
Given that it will slide across another actual door it can't be a pocket door. I don't think I can have tracks in the floor though since I'm having engineered wood over underfloor heating.
I'm just going to have a small finger hole, and use that to slide it back and forth.
The tart in my would like something motorised, but frankly at this point, anything will do
I've spoken to https://www.hafele.co.uk who advised that the lowest profile floor track depth is 20mm. Which I'm not sure I can make work...
Any ideas?

Because the opening options aren't nice at all. I'm actually moving the doorway about a foot to the left. So either the door opens into the middle of the hallway or opens against a small column, which is the ideal position, but then blocks the point of the room which is for a washing machine and dryer since an open door would impede access to the hallway.
Just to come back to this, I actually found the perfect product.

Strangely the bit I'm having more of a problem with is finding a door panel!
I need something that will paint as well as wall, so I'm assuming either mdf or any kind of wood and just sticking lining paper over it.
Obviously its much larger then a regular door.

What about a sliding wardrobe door, would that work?
Ikea do them 2metres wide, as do other suppliers. Google will guide you. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/wardrobes/fitte...
You can get murals to stick on the door too. I had one of a Ferrari on my garage door in France and people used to stop outside to have a look but there's loads. If you're clever you can hide the join so the door becomes part of the wall. Some ideas here, but again Google is your friend;

I was considering something like that, but I need to match the paint on the walls, and they all seem to come glossy. The idea really is to make this thing blend in with the walls. Its surprisingly tricky! I am having a wardrobe maker do custom wardrobes for me, so I suppose he should be able to knock something up for me.Ikea do them 2metres wide, as do other suppliers.
