Sat here watching tv and notice an itchy back, nothing unusual for me so i scratch it, think nothing more of it until a few minutes later, feels like cramp in the area i scratched, thinking wtf is causing this, getting worse, feels red hot, its right at the top of my shoulders so cant see it, trying to take a picture with the phone, fk me its red raw, large blotch whitle blotch in the middle of red raw area. Take my shirt off , then find a dead spider on the settee when i get up, black but no markings. Still get crampy feeling/burning half an hour later, should i be panicking? This is the remnants of the fker that bit me!

Take some antihistamines if you've got some.

Google "fake black widow bite", we had them on a site recently and all work had to be stopped until the pest control guys had been in.
Many years I got bitten on the arse by a ladybird, they are vicious little buggers!

From the picture it looks like it could have been a false widow, the less deadly version of the black widow. From what I understand, the bite has a similar reaction to a bee/wasp sting.
OP how do you normally react to a sting?

I got bitten by a spider underneath my left pec. Didn't know what it was, just two puncture wounds and sore for days. Went to the doc and he diagnosed a spider bite and said it would need no attention other than keep clean. The wound area became red to the size of a beermat then subsided to a purple pound coin size lump. 3 months later it burst with black blood and pus...... charming frown
