My house is currently rendered, but it's tired and cracking and in need of replacement...

Before spending £4000-£7000 on replacing it (depending on whether I go cement or monocouche render, not fully done the maths yet but house is an end terrace, approx 6mx8mx5m less openings so ~90-100 sqm), I'm wondering if it's good practice to have a cavity wall tie inspection performed and potentially fix/replace if required prior to applying the new coating??

I had them inspected (mortgage requirement) when I bought the house 19 years ago, they were fine then, but that's a while ago now!! Probably will be in the house for another 5-10 years, so looking to refresh a few things!!

Thanks,
Jon

save your money and don't bother with the inspection , it will have become evident by now if they'd failed (horizontal cracks in the mortar every 5 or so course of bricks) don't worry
