Looks fabulous! If that's your first house, you've done pretty well. 'Nothing special' my arse. Well done. Enjoy it, you've clearly worked for it. Wishing you many happy years in there.

Oh, I should add, this is indeed a great forum. Although hubster is petrol driven, when I was looking for someone to share my house building woes with, this was and still is, top spot. Any questions, someone friendly here will know the answer.

Well done OP. It was ain the late 90s for me but I remember it like it was yesterday. I slept on the floor the day I got my keys. Nothing in the flat

Your humility is nicer than your house, which itself is very nice!

One thing that I immediately noticed was that guttering run between dormers - that's not normal is it? I'd normally expect a central downpipe to take those short runs.
Yes, it's a somewhat unusual set up. All the group of houses built at the same time in this part of the road are similar.

Would have been dull without pics you should be proud to post them. How old is the house? Really hard to tell.
Thank you. smile As mentioned, it was supposed to be more of a forum thanks thread rather than a look at my house thread. IIRC, the house was built in 1977.

yes

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here. It's also great to see projects come to fruition and that's only possible by members taking the time to share to help the 'community'.

Looks nice.

Is that a possible man-shed hiding at the end of the garden?

Now just add one of these to the patio - it'll fit right in......;)

Thanks chaps. smile

@wsurfa: Just a regular shed. Looking to fill it with garden tools. Gardening is not something I've previously been interested in, but definitely willing to give it a go. Lawnmover on the 'to buy' list, along with a barbecue.
