Block paving sand with weedkiller

I have a large block paved drive, and keep on top of any weeds by using a K'archer pressure washer with a "turbo" lance attachment every six weeks or so in summer.
Over the years I have tried every block paved drive weedkiller you can think of without success.
My next door neighbour bought four tubs of stuff last year costing £200 in total, brushed it in and said to me "It's expensive but it's the dogs b
ks, this will sort it once and for all"
Now, twelve months later, his weed riddled drive is as bad as ever, it was totally useless...

.Kiln dried sand is only £5 a bag from Wickes which goes a long way.
Nothing beats regular use of roundup. It does work it just needs to be applied every couple of months imo. Best thing is a sprayer which is cheap and to spray the average drive takes minutes.
If block paving gets left it will get weeds, its as simple as that.
I haven't used that dansand stuff but have heard its not that great.
