My roofing chap has suggested using Desmopol for a 5x2m flat roof that has a surrounding parapet with drain hole as he reckoned it was flexible and would be easiest to ensure water tight in all the internal corners and at the drain.

I'd not heard of it before, so does anyone have any experience of it?

More suited to repairs. It's a single part liquid, surface needs to be surgically clean bedore application.

Technically I suppose it could be classed as a repair but it sounds like it could be a bit of a 'mare?

Some people think you can just slap it on and job done, but as with any coating, it's only as good as the prep.

Your 'Roofer' wants to use it, because it suits him....not you.
