Following up on my bathroom thread, I was going to use Aquapanel for stud walls and then tank the shower area with a Mapei kit (belt and braces0. Then I came across nomoreply.

Can I use 6mm nomoreply on the timber suspended floor and 12mm on the stud walls?

I was going to use SBR on the floor, if I use this on the stud walls, do I still need to tank?

Aquapanel is not necessary on the walls. Ordinary plasterboard tanked is waterproof.

Aqua panel doesn't degrade when wet but it is not waterproof. Tanked plasterboard is waterproof. Use a tanking kit and don't rely on SBR as a waterproofer.

Definitely use 6mm no more ply on your floors glued and screwed. If the floor is not getting wet (other than the odd wet foot print) there is no need to tank it. A couple of coats of SBR on the no more ply will give it some water resistance and also makes a good primer for tiling.

Ah, so you're saying tanked plaster board is better for walls in the bathroom than tanked Aquapanel or Nomoreply?

Or could I use Marmox multiboards instead and these wouldn't need priming or tanking?

I'm saying the most cost effective way of having a waterproof wall is to use plasterboard and tank it.
