I put red loctite on some bolts on a wacker plate which wouldn't stop coming undone. It certainly worked, never came undone again, and thats on a wacker plate bouncing around all day.

We will patiently wait for the thread about getting a threaded bar out of a tap at a date in the future..

just a thought, have you inserted the wrong end of the threaded bar into the tap, usually one end has a notch for tightening it with a screwdriver.

I don't get how the threaded rod is coming undone - they screw in clockwise into the tap body then the nut tightens on to that. They are a PITA though.

Whilst I appreciate te advice, an have already ordered some red loctite, I'e just got hom from the best part of olbttles ov port on top of the beer and wine that ent befor it st dinner, and sm still sober enough to question smacking an i,PACt driver into the bottom, of a ceramic sink!

St this point, IU tink it's time to go into as phome booth,and change into a Welshbeef costume!
