Super absorbant cloth/towels

10 yrs ago at a show I purchased some yellow synthetic stuff that came in rolls, it was being sold as car chamois but useless for this too smeary. It was however super absorbent, cheap, huge size you could cut up and great for general purpose soaking up stuff, dog drying, kitchen floods etc.

Anyone know what it was and where you can get it?

Thanks, the stuff I'm thinking of came in 2m x 1m sheets and washable, thinking ideal dog drying towel.

The last lot only cost a few quid and lasted 10yrs.
