Hi guys

I’ve asked a plumber to give me a cost for the first fix of my renovation

This is the ground floor plan with where the radiators will go,

The upstairs has three bedrooms with a large rad in each and one with an en suite.

I want the pipes chased into the walls down stairs and coming up through the floor upstairs, the hot water tank and accumulator will come from a room upstairs and run through the eves as it’s a bungalow with converted flat roof. And there will be an oil boiler outside

He’s said he needs 120m 15mm and 30m 22mm copper pipe.
The height of the downstairs ceiling is nearly three meters high of that makes any difference and the house if completely gutted so running the pipes around the house, along and through rafters should be as easy as it it gets.

I have asked him if he has thought about how much the labour costs will be and he’s said he has two prices, one for first fix with futures and fitting and chasing the walls out and one without chasing the walls out but he’s then asked me how much I had in mind, and as I don’t have a clue how much it should be I’ve come on here to see if any of you guys have any ideas??

I know it’s impossible to give exact figures but do any of you have a rough cost for what it could be??

IMO you need a new plumber! He has a price but then wants to know what you think it should be?! Really?!

Just tell him you want his quote. What you or I think should be irrelevant surely?

Had a quote of 1300 for first fix, not including chasing walls ok but with clips and fittings. Sounds ok to me
