Hi guys, we have several rako rdl500 and 250 units that are connected to various lighting circuits and have behaved perfectly for some time.

However, recently theres about 14 downlighters in the kitchen area and only 3 come on (the three that work are all next to each other), the other's might very rarely flicker.

I have replaced the rako units after a conversation with rako customer care but the problem still exists. I assume the lights would be daisy chained so could it simply be a loose connection in a junction box or are these units dated/poor tech now? I see they have been superseeded now. Im capable of tightening a screw in a junction box if that's all it could be but didnt want to start taking the speaker's and lights down to find a jb if its not likely to be that.

Anyone know of a reputable electrician in bedfordshire area if it needs more troubleshooting?

Thanks

VEX

Where abouts in Beds?

Where is the group of 3 that are coming on in the chain of lights, beginning, middle, end?

I am guessing they are not led’a if you are using RDL’s

Happy to have a look if local, not and electrician but I know Rako and in most cases be classed as a ‘competent person’
