Robovacs good or not?

Are they robust enough to cross things like this on their daily journey round a house or do they only really work with a perfect flooring join between all the rooms you want done?
I don't have any thresholds like this as such, but I did witness some amazing piece of navigating by my Neato when I first bought it. As we'd just moved into the house we had crap everywhere, and I'd removed the kick panel from the kitchen units so that I could slide my dishwasher in.The robot went under the kitchen units so dropped down a threshold of probably 15-20mm to the bare concrete under the kitchen units, with unit legs spaced every 500mm or so. The damn thing cleaned up every bit of cement dust and building rubbish it could find, realised it couldn't get back up onto the kitchen tiles forwards so it span round 180, jacked it's rear end up by about 40mm and then reversed up... then was back on its way.
I was amazed

Another question - can they handle crossing thresholds between different flooring types - we have threshold pieces between the tiled floors of the kitchen etc and the carpeted floors in the dining room and living rooms.
Imagine a 15cm wide threshold piece roughly 1cm high.

Our's climbs on to our 1 inch thick rug.Imagine a 15cm wide threshold piece roughly 1cm high.

I did see a review of someone complaining they had damaged their chrome bar stool bases as it had climbed up and the spinning brush marked it, so something to bear in mind if you have similar.
I think it had caught it on the edge of the vacuum brush as it tried to clean around the central pole.

I know that thresholds have been mentioned, but would these (below) pose a problem? Very tempted to get a robovac and not just to scare the living daylights out of the dog whilst I’m at work.
Pretty sure the Neato would get over them fine based on what I said above about the clothes horse, can’t comment how well others would though.Does anyone have experience of using these when the alarm is set? I have 2-stage PIRs in both rooms that the vacuum floats around and it runs when I'm out. Not been using the alarm, but I've got round to sorting out being able to remote into it from my PC so I can sort the programming out, so I will soon.
I can just set the thing going and monitor the sensors to see if it's triggering them, but interested in others experiences and how you've got around running them when you're out and having the alarm on?
I have a pretty decent system so I'm wondering if I can use my Tado with some automation services to run the vacuum if I go out and it's a weekday between 6 and 10, and trigger a relay to set the alarm via one of it's inputs. I can then set the alarm to partial set from this trigger and run a timer that triggers a full set after 2 hours, so the robot will have finished messing about.

Good sale on Eufy robovacs and Amazon.. have been umming and aaarhing for ages but bite the bullet today.

I've just bought an Eufy 30C for £170. Hoping it's not a dissapointment. Obviously it's not as clever as the £500 Neato's with laser mapping etc but the reviews on Amazon appear good.

I did have a neato with laser mapping but it was useless as kept disconnecting from wifi and stopped working.

Now that I've purchased I can refer someone....
I'd split the cash 50/50 so you'll get it for £20 cheaper plus £38 worth of accessories.... an absolute bargain for £150 for the Eufy 30C plus the accessories surely?
Purchased with link. Seems like a good deal and will compliment the robo mower who works a treat in the gardenI'd split the cash 50/50 so you'll get it for £20 cheaper plus £38 worth of accessories.... an absolute bargain for £150 for the Eufy 30C plus the accessories surely?
