I think you're right, but they've been starved of funding by Central government for years. It's short sighted, but if they can't afford to run them...
They've got to pay the salaries for really important jobs like the Director of street scenes, the Corporate Director for Community Well-being and Environment, plus their equality and diversity advisors and climate change officers. They all take precedence over the basic needs of the people. At least being converted into things they aren't getting run down and vandalised.

Many, many questions. Streetview you can see the plot it must have been built on but why submerge part of the building when there doesn't seem any reason so? Stop it being so obtrusive to the house that backs onto it on the corner? Loving the living room patio doors that open out onto the front garden because theres nothing out back. Horrific...hidetheelephants said:

I work for East Riding Council, we sold this in 2017 for circa £300k, now back up for £400k with sitting tenants.
Advice from our property people is quote 'it's fked'
Given in Beverley a 2 bed semi is £400k this puts this into perspective.

Can't believe there are actually people living in it. It looks knackered...I work for East Riding Council, we sold this in 2017 for circa £300k, now back up for £400k with sitting tenants.

On the other hand, this is a nightmare that doesn't look knackered: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/145726619#/...
