POE or WiFi and battery? If the latter, that's a pain in the arse.
Ummm?

Probably not the best solution, but it's been OK so far.

I've got Blink cameras set up outside our home all around the perimeter and several inside. I get real-time alerts on my phone when these are triggered (you can adjust the sensitivity etc to limit false alerts and change the zoning to avoid the road etc).

I've also got a wireless alarm from ERA, multiple alarm boxes, PIR's, doors/window sensors and control panel. Comes with RFID tags to disable on entry or you can use the app to arm/disarm multiple zones etc. The beauty of this we both have the app and my BIL also has it to check on the house when we are away.

Installed everything myself and other than swapping batteries it's been pretty reliable for the last 4-5 years.

Have a look at Simplisafe as well. We have their alarm and internal cameras, and will be installing their outdoor cameras at some point to replace a failing wired CCTV system. Monitoring is available as a monthly subscription, which also acts as an extended warranty, so if anything fails it gets replaced at no cost. It's all wireless and self-install, which is really easy.

Sod’s Law, soon after getting the quotes, I had a break in, and one of my cars stolen, so just bit the bullet and went with what I thought was the best of the 2.

It’s an Ajax alarm, works off of a key pad or an app. It covers my garage as a stand-alone, so pleased with that.

It wasn’t cheap at £1900 though, but peace of mind n that.

I fitted an Ajax alarm with all the sensors and sounders, excellent bit of kit and really easy to install! Now only if I could get my partner to remember to deactivate the night mode in the morning so it doesn’t wake the whole town that would be great!

On Ajax alarms, you can set it so that it automatically disarms at a set time of your choosing.

I don’t think you can compare prices as it depends what sensors you have fitted. Your keypad costs about £200.

We also have Blink cameras (2 outside 1 inside plus 1 in the garage - mostly handy for when I forget if I closed the doors!) which work pretty well for notifications. Not the most responsive (ours are v1) - tells me the postie is there as he is walking away! I imagine newer ones are better, but at least we have no subscription model to pay for!

Various solar lights and mains sensor lights (mostly useful for us coming home!).

We also have good neighbours we could call upon, and a local whatsapp group where people pop things up if nefarious people are seen in the area. Mostly silent group, but good neighbours are great to have: several of us surrounded one house when their alarm went off when they were away....turned out to be a spider on an internal sensor hehe

Oh, & a freshly painted alarm box, labelled up & looking good. We never use it (a bit dodgy), but at least it makes our house look better protected than the ones nearby....

Assuming you have admin rights:

Go to your Ajax app > Select your Hub > Settings > Security Schedule and set in there

I paid £500 for the new kit with 2 fobs, keypad, 3 door sensors and 2 motion sensor cams! Imagine that would be well over £1000 installed by a pro. The app even teaches you how to place the sensors 😂
