Not keen on the bar, but otherwise this would suit me perfectly.

This place in Thurlestone, Devon looks rather nice:

Nice. The temptation of the leap from wall into pool would worry me though.

The only downfall frown. Lovely surroundings, mind.

How about this one, which is not too far from the one I posted?...

Which does come with this...

The drive to the front of the house is a bit confusing isn't it?

Assuming you mean the Thurleston one there are 4 garages. Enough for most of us!

and if you are buying a house like that and it doesn't have any garages you build them.

If we are talking proper real estate prawn this is something special.

Can't help thinking that different vehicles in the garage might have sold the place a bit better!

About £60 - £70,000,000 I reckon.

This place is just down the road from where my old man lives. I remember it as a large run down house, the new owner has spent years doing it up. It's nice, but well overpriced IMO at the allegedly £10m it is on for.

Can I just take the cottage, the big house comes over as very cold and uninviting.

I agree with you. I think it shows that it's a single bloke in his 60's that has created this. It's very show house, blokey, clichéd and lacks any character and warmth that a family or at least a female is more likely to introduce.

In quite some numbers as well, it appears.

I like the tech spec section on the website, click on it and the first image is Sonos controller running on an iPad...

But at that level purchasers would rather see a blank canvass they can work with. It will probably be redecorated by an expensive interior design firm so at least it gives a good base to start with.

It's clearly been done as a house to sell rather than as a current family home.
