The wine rack above the kitchen accessible by ladder is moderately cool.
Bloody dangerous though. Climbing ladders looking for the 3rd bottle of wine will only end in tearsnuts
Surely the temp will be fluctuating wildly up there.

I wondered a similar thing about the property by the river as all the wine is in one place? ie reds, whites etc?

What on Earth is this room about? I'm sure it's got some purpose but to me it looks like a funeral parlour where you put the coffin to lay out for a few days. eek

For longer-term cellaring you want a similar constant temperature for both reds and whites. In a house like that, there will probably be one or more serving cabinets for red, white and fizz. e.g. http://www.eurocave.co.uk/wine-cabinets/function/s... These can either be single (temperature) zone or dual.

Ladies on the left with the handbag stand, gentleman's on the right. Unless it's Alan Carr's house, then it's the other way round.

The main staircase looks out of place. I'd live with it though.

Still reckon it's where you'd get laid out with a couple of pennies on your eyes.
