Interesting space. Currently an office so you'd have to spend loads to make it into the two bedroom flat the planning allows

Brilliant. I'd just stick a bed up on the mezzanine and some settees down the bottom.

Bonkers...actually quite nice spaces and location, but the decor is a bit OTT. Love the mini golf course.

In case you're wondering, pic 16 is an opium den

We did a lot of the interior of that house when it was built, its a nice spot but I never liked the drive out to it from town. The owners were really nice people to work with also. There is also a very cool hangar not visible in the pics where the guy kept his chopper, would make for an amazing garage.

The window dressings in pic7 were some of the priciest we had ever done, and at the time there was chat about the actual piece of glass being at the absolute maximum a single pane could be, largest in any house iirc.

Bit wind swept out there this time of year though.

Probably currently under 4ft of water but this the house in the episode of Primeval that Jason Flemyng made his debut, the one with the Gremlin thing that could camouflage itself in the house.

I wonder if it's still there biggrin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m_itlGvovQ

Great location, but the layout's a mess and I'm not sure there's enough parking.

On the mainland, there is about 0.74 acres of land including workshop/garaging and parking for about 45 cars.

Ha, doesn't bother me; my game is giving people what they want, not telling them what they should have.

What is the 'odd' room with the sloping and ribbed floor?

Story I heard was that its been bought as student accomadation for the son of some clearly very wealth family who is going to London Uni. I also heard same family also bought the house next door.

Weather thats true, I don't know, but the £16m number is certainly the figure that a lot of property people were talking about. Presumably it will turn up on the Land Registry shortly.

Caption says "tv room" which is a euphemism for S&M den.

Too right! beer

Did you not think though, quietly, when you had a moment to reflect, when you were doing that, 'you really can't be serious'?

Surely the customer is not right all of the time??

It varies massively from project to project and depending on the client.

Most people have an idea and it's helping them turn what they have in their head into reality, finding the right products etc. Yes, a lot of people have unusual tastes but it's their house so they employ a designer to help them make it look the way they want it.
The hallway in that job for example was amazing, the photos really don't do it justice but the dining room is a bit mad. If the client loves it, then I guess that equals a happy customer. And happy customers pay their bills hehe
