gardening is for old people. old people are retired. squirrels give them something to do and keep their minds busy. squirrels are therefore a good thing.

put some nuts/berries in a solution of diazepam, whack em in a box and DHL them up to me. i've got a massive garden but no squirrels, they can do what they like out there.

i really don't know what people have against them.
one explains the other. They don't just destroy gardens, my Dad's shed (more like a large workshop) was eaten from the inside out by them, along with their facias, soffits etc etc etc. They do a LOT of damage.

Red Squirrels are great (unless they've become addicted to nicotine, when they become SERIOUSLY grumpy bds) Grey squirrels look cute but are generally both vicious and destructive.
