You just need a decent glyphosate based weedkiller and 10 minutes every month for spring and summer. 'Roundup' is probably what you will find in the shops. I use a commerical version of this in vast quantities and its very effective for weed control.

Not really, fire is a contact non-residual weedkiller

The roots will simply regrow.

Thats true, but "Kill it with fire" sounds like proper pistonheads. The next alternative is kill it with TNT

Agreed. I think TNT is better than fire, it will get the roots as well. And any troublesome houses nearby.

A good way to stop weeds growing in the first place is to brush it regularly with a decent big stiff brush. I have a large monoblock drive (about 4 car size), takes no longer than 10 minutes to sweep once a week, it's been down for 4 years and I rarely get more than 4 or 5 little weeds coming up each week that just get pulled by hand.

I just got one of these. I don't care if the weeds regrow, because then it will be fun with fire again Actually, I'm hoping to get a small wasps' nest to "have" to use it on next...
