Am I the only one that picks feathers out of pillows?

I am constantly rummaging around in the pillow case feeling for that sharp little point, when I find it I try my best to work it out before discarding it on the floor.

Im not exactly concentrating on it (lol), its just something I like to do whilst thinking/lying in bed, I find it very therapeutic but it drives SWMBO nuts. I finally came to the conclusion last night that it is in fact very weird!

It started off doing it out of necessity to clear any stray "poking out" feathers from my pillows, now its a habit that I cant seem to break.

No, I do the same. I pick at the sharp points until the bedroom looks like the aftermath of a girl's dorm pillow fight.

Sigh.

I do that too. It ends up looking like a pigeon massacre in the morning!

Buy proper down pillows - you don't get the nasty sharp bits then.

I do this too, although it's the sofa in the living room that gets plucked by me. You'll be lying there, trying to get comfortable when a sharp point decides to jab you in the face. Hateful things.

Plucking them is good fun though.

I used to do it, mostly because I found they irritated me otherwise. When I was old enough to be buying my own pillows I just replaced all of the feather ones with... some other kind? Cotton?

It was definitely enjoyable though.

Hey I know this topic is like 3 years old but I am hoping some of you will see this and be able to help me. I thought I was alone in my feather cracking obsession- lately i have real difficulty finding good "feather cracking pillows" because they are all down and don't have the spines I can crack. Can anyone tell me where you find good feather cracking pillows PLEASE!!!! It's an emergency hahaha - glad I found this good to know I'm not alone in this weird obsession!

I pluck the feathers out of my pillows, I love it, been doing it since I was a little boy.
I try and find the thick stem feathers and try to work them to the seam and poke them through the stitching, it give me a great sense of satisfaction.

My wife hates it though, she is trying to sleep and all she can hear is me fluffing the pillows trying to fine that magical super long feather.
