I feel your rage OP. Horses on bridle ways. Whatever next cars on roads? I mean have you seen them spewing oil and diesel all over the place. They should be made to stop and clean it up too.
Ah, but what about 'horses on roads'?'Have to slow so often round here, waiting minutes for them to meander down the road - in the bucking, weaving, panic stricken way they often do - waiting nervously for the accident as Nigel Nova, 17 and 1/4, roars round the blind bend ahead straight into a particularly nasty version of 'side saddle', and patiently waiting for them to exercise their steed... and desire to block three quarters of a narrow lane, or worse still a main road.
Don't the riders spot the clue, that the road is grey and hard and stuff and not really at all like the green grassy fields they should stick to? Feckwits.

I fking hate horses. Big stupid dangerous things that may well panic for no reason at all at any point.
So horse crap is OK but dog crap is vile? Do you want horse crap in your house or car?
How about eating the stuff if you go through it on a mountain bike or crashing the motorbike because you hit it on the road.
I am a mountain biker and have been a biker. Again, horse st isn't the prefered choice of stuff to have flicked into your mouth, but it's a darn sight better than dog st. fk knows what dogs eat to make them produce such vile st, but it's wrong. So horse crap is OK but dog crap is vile? st is st, they need to clean up after themselves.
I do clean up after the dog and it disgusts mhen people don't, but horses produce about 900 times as much of the stuff. Glue and steaks are the way forward.
st may be st, but dog st is worse than horse st. Massively worse. Volumes don't come into it.I do clean up after the dog and it disgusts mhen people don't, but horses produce about 900 times as much of the stuff. Glue and steaks are the way forward.
The one reason I refuse my Wife's requests to have a dog is that I absolutely refuse to clean up it's st. I also refuse to zig-zag my way through my garden around piles of chemical weapons.
I fking hate dogs and it's 100% down to their st.

Without horses, you won't have Horsey girls!
Think about that for a minute.
Oh come on. The MAJORITY of horsey women are boorish late-middle aged overweight units, with facial hair that would make Brian Blessed rage with envy. Even the younger ones have more than a passing resemblance to the equine they're sat on.Think about that for a minute.
Where I live I'm surrounded by horse breeders, trainers, and stables, and seeing a hottie in jodhpurs is a rarity in the extreme.
Nice fantasy though.

If they aren't old enough to handle a mechanical vehicle that doesn't generally bolt how can they be allowed to take a very large beast that has a mind of it's own out on the road with no knowledge of the highway code? the rider not even aware that there is one?

The question I would like answered and it is a genuine question that perplexes me, is why are young children, certainly below the driving age, allowed to ride horses on the public roads?

I was joshing earlier - well sort of - but have seen some dodgy examples. The very worst was a few years back bringing my dad back from Rutland Water (eastbound). For those who know the area you'll recall that a couple of miles out is a very long, fast, pretty straight but undulating A road where lots of dodgy overtaking/speeding is evident, so not the safest place for a wander. If they aren't old enough to handle a mechanical vehicle that doesn't generally bolt how can they be allowed to take a very large beast that has a mind of it's own out on the road with no knowledge of the highway code? the rider not even aware that there is one?
As we drove towards a long lay-by on the right we spotted a horse box and shouty woman pointing way back down the road, issuing instructions (inaudible at that distance I'm sure despite her volume) to her young daughter, about 13 who was trying desperately to control a rearing, weaving horse (that looked way too big for her) as she was coming back down the road around 300m away with umpteen cars flying by and pulling past to overtake, many at unabated speed. It was very scary. We drove slowly so had plenty of time to see the significant number of cars that passed by and how close some seemed to be scaring the v. unsettled looking horse into bolting.
I don't know who was more stupid, the drivers for not slowing and anticipating a potential incident or the moronic mother who had, presumably, dropped her daughter off and sent her up and down the road for practise amongst traffic. Kill or cure?

True. Most horsey gels I meet out riding a bike are quality eye-candy. Even the vintage models have a twinkle in their eye as you greet them.......The Horsey girls round here at mostly very attractive.
