Last two are rescue cats. Asked the home which ones needed a home urgently and these had been in for many months.

Loads of friendy, house-trained cats sitting waiting in a rescue centre for a permanent home. Give one (or more...) of these a chance? cloud9

What you need are 2 rescue kittens. They are company for each other and we find that as long as you spend time with them and generally teach them that being held is normal when they are little they will be great.and
Apparently black ones are unpopular - don't know why, we've had 3 they're great.

The first one we rescued was black, she'd been there for months. Sadly she disappeared one day never to be seen or heard of again frown

my Sooty used to talk to me like I was another cat - we actually had some sort of conversations.

Are you a 60 year old single woman who smells of wee?

ask a local vet if they know of anyone with kittens, my mrs bumped into a girl leaving the vets round the corner from her work with a poorly wee moggy, some oh'ing and ah'ing later they'd exchanged numbers ( must question this more) and we picked up Mickey the all black night hawk ninja terrorist we have now, one year this week and i've never had such an affectionate (when he wants) cat.

yes

We spoke to our local Cats Protection, they came and did a quick house visit and then we stated what we were after, we did feel guilty not taking an older cat but we got a paid of sister, they are Tabby and they are just brilliant, very different characters but both mad as anything, slightly daft and great great fun

I can see why some people like breeds and some of them are gorgeous, but for us we wanted to rescue some kittens that might have sat in a cage for ages than pay a breeder

Ours came Chipped, all Jabs and Spade for £90 for the paid (we chucked them a bit extra)

It's how I ended up with a black one, all his brothers and sisters had been taken and there were jokes about him being worthless so he didn't cost anything.

Get a rescue. Or two.
This.

2 rescue cats is the way forwards.

Lots of people want kittens, but abandon them once they're 6-12 months old, which is an ideal time to pick them up.

There's some Russian Blue or British SH blue in there somewhere. We had a moggy that looked for all the world like a Russian. Lost him to a diabetic coma nearly 3 yrs ago. Still miss him frown
