What a great story, well done all involved.
Sue, put a link to your page or a donation site on here. I'm sure a few like minded people would help in whatever capacity they were able.
Great gesture from Ali2002, good to see the world is not quite a hard cynical place all the time.

Arranging for Zoe to be flown over to the UK is quite a specialized process and best left to the experts in that Field! (Our area of expertise is in the Corporate sector.)

So in lieu of my previous offer I've donated to the Charity suggested by Kieran and directed him towards a Company that has a track record with this type of precious cargo. wink

Best,

Wonderful thread.

Well done OP and Sue.

I'm off to take my 9 month old black labrador for a good long walk and a swim now!

Zoe is doing great, she is such a character! She has had her first two vaccinations. The Rabies is due on Monday and then 21 days after the jab she can fly to England!

How long will she be in quarantine for once she's in England?

Zoe will not have to go into quarantine, she will go straight to her new home and life with her new family.

There is no quarantine any more...the laws changed 1st January this year. All a puppy or dog needs is its Rabies vaccination, microchip and passport - 21 days before they leave here. Then they need a final vet check 24 hours before they depart!

This is why it is so easy to rescue and send dogs and cats to England now!

I have 3 more puppies looking for homes if anybody is interested???!!!

One lucky pup!
You'll always be her 'God' now. And God bless you for that.

Do you have any clue as to what mix she is?

Sue, I'd love to help, but we both work too many hours to be fair to a dog, which is why we have a house rabbit and two cats, which chose us. Animals, eh?

Ali, out of interest, who did you direct them to? Only I have a few contacts at World Care Pet shipping as we use them so frequently. I'd be happy to see what I can ask them to offer in assistance.

Okay, Kieran/Sue, I spoke to my contact, Ross Gays at World Care Pet

He said;

"Regarding Zoe - it would be best/less expensive if Sue in Greece books this
- I can give them information etc if required but booking through a local
agent/airline would be the most cost effective method here."

If you want to contact him for any other advice;

Email: ross@WorldCarePet.co.uk
Tel: 01480 437946
Fax: 01480 457917

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately we do not have a local agent or airline here in Zakynthos. We are only a small island. I will of course arrange for all of Zoe's passport details and carrier box and take her to the airport. But Kieran will have to book from his end!!
