It's a pity the OP didn't have his garden hose to hand, giving dog and owner a wet send-off while he rinsed his car.

Not a car but an ignorant woman thought it was acceptable for her dog to pee on my baby's buggy and changing bag yesterday.

I kicked the dog away, not hoofing great wallop to launch it into next week but a tap.

When confronted I received a very dismissive and insincere 'sorry' And was told I should apologise for kicking the dog!

Letting your dog pee on other people's property including cars is very ignorant. A minority of dog owners letting the side down as usual.

Dogs will be Dogs , they usually only mark the spot where one has gone before. Does it really matter ?

My two piss where they want , not often on anyone's property but if they wanted to they would.
Lazy ownership though really as it us not difficult to reduce the chances of your dog peeing on certain areas
It's not lazy at all , they are Dogs , they don't see things in terms of material objects , if they want to mark their spot why not let them , Cats do it all the time , I'd rather they didn't , I'm not a Cat person but it's instinctive behaviour so I think it's their prerogative.

There is a fine line between domesticating an animal and imposing unnecessary constraints on it's natural behaviour. I agree fowling of the footpath is wrong but like 99% of owners I allow this and then clean up afterwards ,not actively forbid a Dog from relieving itself in a certain area.
I'm with bex on this one. Why not stop your dog! It'll just go around the corner, no harm done. As the owner it is your job to see things as material object and should step in and stop the dog from doing it. It's not like you're stopping him from doing his favourite thing, just making him wee elsewhere.

As far as I can see it there is not a single possile justified reason for letting your dog do it, its just lazy/rude/ignorant IMO.
So what if it was a cat , would you feel the same ? Should the owner follow it around and discourage it from urinating on someone's precious alloy wheel ?
As said above, cats don't cock their leg.

Also you don't have control of a cat, you do have control of your dog, so why wouldn't you stop it

Dog owners, do you think this is acceptable behaviour? Would you let your dog do this?

A couple of nights ago I had lifted my toddler son out of the car and was putting him down through the house door, when a woman with a dog walked passed us and her dog stopped and started pissing on my wife's car right in front of the door.

I asked her if she didn't mind stopping her dog pissing on my car. To which I got a gob full of abuse. I was told to get a life and that I was stupid etc etc

If she had just pulled the dog off and said sorry I wouldn't have minded, but she just stood there watching it emptying itself all over the wheel.

Similar things have happened a few times before as my terraced house is on a junction, and when I've asked them not to do it one responses I've had is, "where do you expect them to go?" Well not on my fking car or front door step thanks. I ask them if they'd be happy if I did the same to their house or car and they have no response so just get aggressive.

IMO these are rude, ignorant owners with a badly trained dog.

Dog owners can be ruthless. I suspect that you're a decent person, unlike the dog that pissed all over your car.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have your camera phone handy. You have to be like Clint Eastwood on the trigger, ready to film it and report it to your authorities. NO OTHER WAY.

Depending on the court, that may not even help ! ! ! ! ! But, it's something, and shows effort on your part to get dogs and maybe their ignorant owners off the streets.

You created a new account called NoDogs and dragged up a 4 year old thread to add that? In the words of my butcher: what's your beef?

Yes, that's fair. But you omitted BMW 1-Series, which warrant a dump as well for crimes against good design biggrin

I was once at a country fair type thing with my dad and his old male GSP on a short lead, a pushchair came past us in the opposite direction, he somehow managed to cock his leg and piss in it as he passed.

I won't allow my dog foul someone else's property but sometimes there's nothing you can do...

I had this happen to me just now! Waiting to board a ferry at Dover and in my car when a old boy with his dog on a lead just allows it to urinate on my car!
He just shrugged his shoulders and walked off followed by me telling him how disrespectful it is, his response was of surprise flowed by "that's what they do"!

Anyhow I walked off before getting any more wound up lol.

Just shows he's allowed this to happen all the time and I'm prob the first to call him out on it.
