I guess there all different but our Collie pup was always sick on car journeys until well over a year old , we were almost giving up on taking him out anywhere further than a mile then he changed and he's fine now. Great to see she's/you are fitting in well , cute looker.

Lets hope you've got the collie control and beagle character!

She is sitting when asked to and is getting better at staying when told so the control is getting there and she had bag loads of character smile Still having the odd little accident (we need new carpets anyway so not really too bothered) but is getting better at going to the right place. In 3 weeks she will be able to go outside, so that should make things a bit easier.

She put on just under 0.5 kg in the first week that we had her, she has a very healthy appetite smile

Pretty much that. She is getting quite good at taking herself off to her cage, but we are also starting to learn when she gets over excited/tired and needs to be put there. It really is just like having a baby again but slightly harder work.

An 'artistic' photo that my daughter took of Holly when we put her to bed tonight smile

Strangely she looks a bit like a Jack Russell from that angle, but I can definitely see her Beagle features now together with a Collie like snout.

Probably time for an update on this thread. The last 3 months have flown by and Holly is now truly part of the family. We suffered quite a lot from bad behaviour early on (mainly lots of biting of both people and furniture) but the cure for that seems to be plenty of exercise ! She mostly has 2 walks a day with my wife doing the early shift and me doing a long (3-4 miles) walk in the late afternoon, I'm amazed by her stamina .

She's gone from being purely black and white to being black, brown and white as her Beagle heritage starts to show through. We suffered a lot from her pulling when walking, so much so that I managed to pull some muscles in my shoulder, but that also now appears to be cured by using a head collar. She doesn't like it much, but it has 100% stopped the pulling so I'm happy.

We've had to fit a stair gate to stop her from going upstairs as that is where our cat now lives, sadly she won't tolerate Holly so spends all her time either outside or sleeping on the beds upstairs. We've also discovered that Holly is an excellent thief, she stole a packet of Ibuprofen tablets from the kitchen work surface ! Luckily my wife noticed straight away and took her to the vets immediately where she had an emergency stomach pump and several blood tests. The results showed no indication of any damage, so we were lucky and lessons have been learned.

Here's a picture of her complete with her snazzy new harness - I don't think she likes the colour hence the not so happy face wink
