9 month old puppy chewing when sleeping next to older dog
Discussion
My 9 month chocolate labrador Lola has mostly settled in with me fine and has no problem sleeping during the night left on her own outside my room.
When I work away she stays with my parents and their 4 year old chocolate lab. She loves being with my parents and especially playing with Cocoa. However when she sleeps at my parents, despite having Cocoa's company, she has a habit of chewing bedding.
We've tried anti-chewing sprays however if anything she seems to have a taste for them.
Can anyone suggest a way to settle her down?
Thanks
Todd

Ours is 9 months and loves to chew foam, be it in beds, pillows, cushions..
Perhaps a hard plastic bed for now and some blankets, although then you have to tolerate blankets scattered all over the house!
I think at that age they just love to chew, perhaps present some other things to chew, we find those antler chews are pretty tough for her so it keeps her occupied.

Hi thanks for the reply.
She only has a soft bed at my place. At my parents place she has a rigid plastic bed, which she initially chewed (as well as the bedding), but then stopped when I smoothed off the roughly chewed edges and now just does the bedding. Even the older dog has a hard bed when Lola stays, as Lola has chewed her bed previously and also her bedding. I was hoping that Cocoa would put Lola in her place and defend her own bed at least.
