Anybody any direct experience of Trail Camera's for wildlife filming?.

We are wanting to catch film of the small Animals milling about in the Garden at night, Hedgehogs etc, and have been thinking of getting one of these:

Not sure if they are sensitive enough to pick up such small animals though?

I have the basic Bushnell trail cams (model 119436) and it's surprisingly good, particularly the video.
If it's just for the garden you probably don't need one with a built-in monitor, HD resolution or the "black" IR LEDs, all of which add to the cost.

With mine the IR LEDs are just visible - to me anyway; I don't know if typical garden wildlife sees further into the IR range - but they don't seem to put off birds, hedgehogs etc.

Everything I have filmed on mine (Stealth Cam Sniper) seems to be aware of the infrared to some degree. badgers are sensitive to it but appear to get used to it very quickly. Have filmed rats with it with some success, it just needs to be placed at rat height, and they actually reacted less to the noise etc of the cam than some larger animals.

These guys definitely noticed it:

Anyway, the camera you've posted seems to have much better specs than mine (mine is a few years old) so should do the job just fine.
