Got a 2 year old collie, loosing weight fast and will barely eat more than 10 grams of food a day, for the last 4 days

Took him to vets got the usual fob off of a quick feel and antibiotics,

He seems ok, just very tired and under weight, any suggestions?

Thanks

Is he puking at all? Or pooing everywhere?

He's been sick once that was very watery 2 days ago, then eating grass and then regurgitating it back up although he hasn't done that for 4 days,

Not pooing every where, quite the opposite wants to go but hardly any thing coming out

Take him back, get his wt ck'd compare difference, see a different vet. If you weren't happy with the suggested tx plan last time you should have said instead of feeling you were fobbed off.

If his appetite is normally good then his lack of appetite needs more examination. Is passing normal faeces/ diarrhoea when he does go?

Any chance he's chewed anything plastic/ undigeatable?

Sounds like he has a blockage of some kind. Perhaps some bran to encourage him (assuming he's not intolerant to wheat).

I am guessing that he is not on a raw diet.

Yes there is a chance he could of eaten plastic or some thing he shouldn't of

When he goes to the toilet only about a runny tea spoon worth comes out,

He is finally starting to eat a little and stole the cats wet food, so I've just come back from morisions and got some fresh meaty goodies, so fingers crossed he eats a decent meal and passes through what's ever there

That's a good start smile. If he doesn't pick up rapidly then do get him checked. If something is stuck you don't want it there any longer than you have to. Another 24hrs and if still off food's passing tiny amounts etc they should xrays him.

Hopefully nature will sort things out. Did he have a temperature?
