We saw a zombie fly a few weeks ago. Was in a cafe and noticed a fly on the floor nearly dead. So, being humane, I stamped on it and finished it off.

Looked back down at the floor about ten minutes later and the fly was moving. So, I stamped on it again. This opened up the fly's abdomen and loads of little maggots began crawling out.

Thought 'oh well' and went back to my scone, jam and cream. lick

I use a couple of these in the garden, and are the only effective ones I've found, having tried several similar ones.

Today we have tried the oddest thing. Food bag, half full of water, put 4 pennies in. Hang it by the open door. Strangely it seems to be working, not had many flies in either the kitchen or lounge.

I remember this topic coming up on PH a few years ago, and one PH'er posted a picture of a sign he had written and hung by his patio doors, on the outside.

It read "No flies or Wasps"
