Well tonight was the night i was dreading.

My cat of 5 years and getting to the grand old age of 15 was found on my doorstep in a plastic bag.

Seems she was hit by a car whilst i was at work frown.

She was a rescue cat when i took her on 5 years ago having had previous repairs to her jaw and having an eye removed..... then being dumped in Tesco's car park.

The name Tessie stuck from there.

She may have been small but she has left a big hole in my life.

RIP Tessie.

That's horrible news, but at least some kind person brought her home to you.

RIP Tessie.

Can't imagine how devastating that must be to come home to frown
At least someone has been considerate enough to bring her home.
They must be feeling pretty awful as well frown

So sorry.

The only consolation I can offer is that you gave her the best five years of her life.

This, and at least (small comfort, I know), you know what happened to her.

Sympathies.

Sorry to hear the news frown

My Marley is a crazy outdoor cat and I'm dreading it happening to her.

At least you got her back and can give her a goodbye, better than never seeing her again.

I know how you're feeling OP. I've a thread running on my cat who we had put to sleep yesterday. Slightly different circumstances and at least we got to say goodbye, but it was very strange last night without our Bill boy coming in for a fuss, and likewise it was strange not having him to trip over in the kitchen first thing.

As said, we give them good homes, love, care, food and shelter and they leave us with many happy memories.

Thanks for all the comments smile.

Very weird like you said not waking up to the call of wanting feeding.

Ive been in my house 5 years and she was there after 4 days of moving in, feel a part of the house is missing.

When you feel ready there are many cats and kittens in rescue needing a new slave.

Found out from talking to neighbours and putting the word about that Tessie was killed by a staffy while she walked to the front door to wait for me coming home.

Wrong place at the wrong time! frown

I'd be finding out who owned that Staffy in your shoes.

I am currently making enquiries.

I know its not the attitude to have but I hope it turns on their children, then they can feel how I felt....

Some will say she was only a cat..... but she was my cat!

On a positive note, I picked her up from the cremation place on Monday. Glad to have her home.

My girlfriend a cat that when we moved out stayed at her folks. She was attacked by two huskies when she was asleep. Crap way for an 14 year old moggy to go. We can't find the owner which is probably a good thing.

Well after the house being quiet for over a week and the silence driving me up the wall, Sunday I gave a home to 2 eleven week old kittens.

PH Collective say hello to Molly and Spring.

He he it looks like you are in for a world of trouble and mischief with those two!

Lovely markings on both of them.

I'd be trying to find the dog owner as well.

Our 15 year old, Murphy was attacked by a neighbours dog last year (staffy type thing). To be fair he doesn't roam free and had got out but it was a horrible experience.

OP, so sorry for your loss. We had a medical scare a week or so ago, and I almost lost it.

Bloody good on you forthe new life you have given the kittens!

Enjoy and congrats.
